This short story/romance novella is part of the boxed set titled “The Funny Thing About Love” coming September 3rd, 2020. I am so excited to get the complete set, but for now, I had the privilege to receive an eARC from Rimmy London and Booksprout titled "The Funny Thing About Growing Up With You.” The novella is a short one, but one that you want to keep on reading in one seating. I read it in less than an hour. It is very well-written and had beautiful sentimental and romantic elements that compensated for its length.

The story takes place in a small Bavarian-style town called Leavenworth. The main female character, Annie Lawson, has returned to her hometown after twenty years living in Boston to participate in a bakery contest. While she’s working at the bakery she comes across her first childhood love, McCay! It is a wonderful read consisting of an elementary school crush flowing across years into an adult romance between the two main characters. The rest of the story I’ll let you read on your own and appreciate it fully. I read it in less than an hour. I give this book 4 stars out of 5. An eARC was given to my by the author and Booksprout.
